Post subject:  MP3@64 Card and MMC64 Issues

Hi All,

I can't seem to find any info on this forum or any others regarding the MP3 add-on

The MP3 module does not work with my MMC64. I have the MP3 plugin installed in the SYSTEM64 folder as instructed. I have also tried 1.00, 1.01 and 1.03 BIOS with no success. FYI, I have the MMC64 with the blue PCB.

I just hear a bit of static. I know that my audio system works since I use it with my Amiga computer.

Of note, my MMC64 card occasionally freezes. I have to turn the C64 and back on to correct it. Is this normal? Or should I look into getting a stronger power suppply?

Thanks for everyone for the continued support of the C64!!!!

Regards,
ed...

Hmm.. unfortunately I don't have a clue since I don't own a MP3 card.

The MMC64 resetting could be due to a bad cartridge port. Try "excercising" the MMC64 in the cartridgeport. You could also try cleaning the cart.port and the MMC64 edge connector using alcohol or CRC 2-26, or similar cleaner.

It could also be your power supply.. try switching it.
