| Post subject: | hi kats found this |
http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=29000 this is an d64 rainbow island but i bet is won't work even if we convert it to dfi we may need to put the ide 64 routines in to the game to get it to work like eg get close open in the game machine code and loader for each level |

stripping out the in-game fastloaders (if any) and replace them with kernel I/O is what you really want to do to make it DreamLoadable. AFAIK, this is how IDE64 fixes usually are done, except for some IDE64 specific hacks. |

ya thanks for the advice i want to do more games with the ide fixes and the i/o command but don't know where to start ?. hopfully this may be stupid question may be we can merge tnt d64 browser with the kernal load or add the drive support to action replay. Then that would load the d64 version. i know the dfi support is been updated by the doc. hopfully someone can come up with an program that patches the d64 into an ide file. But as everyone told me so far you need to do the hack yourself to get them to work |

hi kats long time no see ive just updated that d64 and d71 plug in from tnt ive been trying to split rainbow islands in to 2 disks. eg 1 for the main loader and 2nd disk levels. but i still can't get it to load level 2. and like tnt says some game ask you to press the fire button or spacebar to load the next part of program. but as rainbow island loads with out the user pressing any kay or fire button the game seems to be stuck on loading please wait paul |
