I received my brand new MMC64 yesterday, plugged it in and was good to go. What happened next brought me close to tears. As I was sitting at my pc filling my flashcard with snacks, my c64 (with the MMC64 in the slot) went into a fit. It froze, filled the screen with garbage and that was it. The dreaded black screen syndrome. Based on closer analysis after my initial shock, it seems that this may have been caused by a bad Power Supply Unit. At least it was really really hot. So, have anybody else experienced something similar? Does the MMC64 draw so much power that it can bring a potentially bad PSU over the edge? Or was it just my usual bad luck? |

All of those old c64 PSUs are waiting to kill your gear, so kill it first! |

Really sorry to hear that. Hopefully your MMC64 has survived. If you need a new PSU/C64 from the Instinct stash, let me know |
