I tried to switch on my 30 years old CBM PET2001 but it does not work. I would like to check the MOS6540 ROMs. Most likely some (or all) have lost their contents. Has there at any time existed a pin compatible EPROM (with 4 CS!)? I could get hold of the required contents of the ROMs(EPROMs) by making a hex-dump of another PET from exactly the same manufacturing series! (I already made a dump from a working CBM 8032 but there might be incompatibles 2001/8032!?) I would be thankful for help/tips! |
