I've been asking around "everywhere" about those flash chips.
According to AMIC who manufactures them, they are supposed to be a direct replacement for AMD 29F040, but I can't even read the ID codes of the AMIC chips. (I have no real AMD chips to test with)
It looks like I can read the content of the flash chip, however as it's not programmed all I get is $ff, but that's better than just bus noise...
Built my own flash cartridge. (inspired by easyflash)
Plugged the chip into IDE64 in flash mode.
Same results everywhere.
The only thing left to try is to apply 12V to A9, but I'd like to avoid that.
Any smart ideas?

If it is a "direct relacement" for 29F040 no 12V is nessecary.

But maybe the timing for /OE and /CS is mor critical than on a real 29F040?
You don't have a Programmer like TOP2049 or GALEP?

You cannot read the ID? Maybe you cannot enter progmode.

Maybe this Chip uses other magic-codes ($555/$2aa)??

Timing issue is my best guess too.
And no, I have no "real" programmer.
It uses $555/$2aa, but ignores the higher bits so $5555/$2aaa should work.
