I am thinking about to make an implementation/enhancement to the RetroReplay ROM. What about the idea to access your favourite music editor/tracker by for instance typing :JCH/DMC/ODIN to start JCH/DMC/ODIN directly from the rom? or Make a neat menu where you can sellect your music goodies? Anyone up for some further conclutions/ideas for a working modell? I made a bit of a "test screen" for the whole concept. /Xiny6581

That would be pretty nifty. How about a generic app which creates a bundle for patching into the RR, allowing you to select arbitrary tools for installation? These could then be selected from the menu. |

I've to see wether that's possible or not. As you said, it would be pretty darn cool to make somekind of "compiler / patcher". However, I think this once was brought up and there was somekind of reason why it did not work. In the TASM section, I think it was mentioned. /Xiny6581 |

There's already a tool for this called Program Flasher that comes with the Cyberpunx ROM. |

not exactly. the prog OM immediately, but: you can't have those progs AND the RR ROM at the same time. Some tool that would let you "patch in" any app INTO the RR ROM (just like we all did it with TMP by hand) would indeen be something interesting...! shouldn't be that hard as well... |
