If i read correctly it is effectively an eprombank, which is put in place of the cartridge rom, which makes me wonder about loosing cartridge support

Commodore 128 has a built-in extra ROM socket on the motherboard for an expansion ROM and that's where this is connected. It supports similar to Retro Replay banking in of a 16K or 32K window of the large electronically programmable ROM. |
