He contributes to a bounty! It is a way of putting your money where your mouth is. People with programming skills get incentives to produce a piece of software they may otherwise not be interested in at the present time. Bounties are a win-win situation. End users get software they would like but do not have the skill to create themselves, while programmers get at least some compensation for their hard work

What a great idea! I should submit some of the project ideas I have that I will probably never get around to.

How about making some website collaboration? For instance we could have a Bounty section here on Retrohackers with threads linked directly from every bounty object so that people can discuss the project and leave feedback, ideas, etc. Just a spontaneous idea
