Dunno why this thread interests people at all though? Isn't it a quite obvious fact that there are a bunch of people who own one or the other of the revisions which has been produced so far? Simple as that? :)

Please explain to me... :)

It's called Hardworshipping :D

Is there really a black version? Isn't it just very dark blue (the one that says "Final version, May 17th, 2001") ?

There's a black one which looks a bit greenish, a blue one and a red one. And then there are different button colors too, the very first batch of RR's had red buttons.

Ok, let's not get too detailed here!

My Quality Control sticker is goldish and slightly tilted by the way. :)

Which flash chips are used in different boards? Old ones use AMD 29F010 but it has been long gone, so I suspect new boards might use AMD 29F040 or ST 29F040 intead.

(Just messing with MMC64 and RR - currently my flasher only accepts AMD 29F010 as that's what I have, but I would like it to work with new boards too. That means program has to accept other manufacturer/device codes as well.)

It doesn't allow flashing 4/8/32/64 KB ROMs directly from MMC64 :)

(Only ProgramFlasher was changed in the patch, right?)

(meanwhile I've been told at least some of new boards have ST 29F010 chips, which fortunately seems to be fully compatible with the AMD chip)
