I bid on a c128d and won unfortunately it was damaged in transit and the case was destroyed

Good new the seller refunded me and gave me the remains to keep.

So what do you do with a Good C128D board and keyboard, everything else damaged but good parts.
Answer: Start a new project.

I also have a none working c128 in a good case, so do i just place the board into there with some small mods
for the power supply and keyboard or do you start something new.
Well needless to say i wanted something different and more functional for my particular needs.
OK i started by looking at the bottom case for the c128 with a eye to modify it to meet my particular needs.
Here is a small list of what i have done "So Far"

1. Moved power socket to the rear of the C128 instead of on the side.
2. Moved the cartridge port so it poked out the top instead of out the back.
3. Installed fotios rs232 cartridge internally and made it easily replaceable.
4. Install MMU for the SCPU.
5. Modified bottom of case for removal of the cartridge port, installation of the rs232 and plugged rf hole.
6. Modified top case by removal of the peak and keyboard holes and added access to cartridge port and
external keyboard hole.
7. Using Black gloss plastic dye and car putty repaired holes and painted case "Might change color again".
These pictures are a small compliment of many picture's taken.

We needed a hole for the external keyboard.

C128d board with holes plugged and modified for rs232 and cartridge.

Modified rs232 cartridge fitted to user port "removable"

Modified c128d board for rear power supply socket.

A standard MMU SCPU add on board modification.

Removal of the top keys holes on the c128.

This was what i had in mind with floppy drive and cartridge on top.
Keyboard holes were filled in with black perspex and car body filler.

This picture almost changed the project name to stealth instead of c128x.
C128x painted gloss black, hours of puttying and sanding to get mirror finish.
I'll add a Commodore 128 badge and some pin stripping to breakup finish, might
change color yet, maybe use some splatter paint.
Any ideas welcome on color or finish. Many more mods coming up.
