Make sure you're getting the contiki-1.2-devel1 tag. Anything after that seems to have problems building for c64. If you just check out the whole repository ('.') with that tag, you'll get everything you need, which includes contiki, contiki-c64, and contiki-cc65.

The c1541 command comes from vice. Make sure you have it installed and have the command in your path.

You can build vice on debian, yes.

You might be able to compile contiki on windows with a cygwin type environment, but I have not tried.

Run (as root):

apt-get install vice

That should get you vice installed. Then just copy c1541 to your build directory (or put it somewhere along the path, for instance: export PATH=$PATH:/home/zap/vice/)

For cc65: I don't know of a .deb built for debian, I haven't run debian in a while. A quick google shows there are cc65 debs for ubuntu, which may or may not work on debian. They are 2.10.0 instead of 2.11.0, but that should be fine. http://www.lb.shuttle.de/puffin/cc65/pool/cc65/

For the c64.cfg: the file with my modifications is included at the link I gave earlier: http://www.synack.net/~bbraun/contiki-1.2-devel1.tar.gz
The output I pasted earlier is in diff(1) format which should be accepted by patch(1). If I were you, I'd just look at the .tar.gz file above.

i have cc65 it works. thanks

i still cant seem to compile contiki
have managed do do it if so.
can i get you to zip your whole directory and make it available to me.

if i copy the file you gave me and keep the file structure as is when i go to contiki-c64 and run make d64 it creats a d64 file with only contiki.prg in it and the size of the contiki file is only 1.

if i run make webserver its cant find a whole bunch of included ? files.

all i want is to compile webserver with my own webpage.

Have Fun Shane

The file I posted earlier is my whole directory.

With cc65 2.11.0 and vice 1.21 installed, all I did to build contiki was:
wget http://www.synack.net/~bbraun/contiki-1.2-devel1.tar.gz
tar zxvf contiki-1.2-devel1.tar.gz
cd contiki-1.2-devel1/contiki-c64
make all
make d64

contiki-devel1 will not work on my c64 the one i compiled and the one on this website i can get the desktop up but when i load the webserver it just quits out to basic prompt.

i have another c64 coming i will try it on that.

hopefully the webserver in devel1 is not broken.

can you still get contiki version 1 source code from adams site.
this version works great i could just recompile it with my web page changers.

have fun shane :?: :?:
